South Africa boasts picturesque wine-growing regions and incredible, high-quality wines. Although categorized as a “New World” wine country, the South African wine industry has been producing extraordinary wines since the 17th century. Best known for Pinotage - a grape that produces juicy and fruity flavored wines, the vast and unique wine growing country is home to so much more. In this tasting, we’ll cover the different South African wine styles, popular grape varietals used, and the famous wine-growing regions.
